I felt guilty about my rant in my last post, about the course I didn’t really want that my parents told me to take up. A buddy of mine is still in college, seven years now, because he has to stop every now and then due to lack of financial resources. He came from a brood of eight and his dad suffered a stroke a couple of years ago, affecting their livelihood. My buddy is the middle child and his older siblings are already married and have lives of their own to live.

When I entered college, it was with a heavy heart. To be quite honest, I didn’t want my course. You see I took up Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. And I took it up because of this plan my parents had for me. My uncle has an insurance company and they want me to work there. Sucks, I tell you. I told her that I really want to become a graphic artist and would rather learn the ropes in that area rather than the ones I am learning right now. She will give me the money I need to enroll and I will just have to talk to my parents about resigning from work and fulfilling a dream of my own.
