Condo living
I don’t know why people are glamorizing condo living. The truth of the matter is it’s not! It’s hard living by your lonesome. Sure, you have your privacy. But when you are sick, there’s no one to look after you. When you are dead tired from work and all you want to do is eat right away, you go home to a food-less kitchen. You end up ordering take out food or eating instant noodles. Not to mention cleaning after yourself all the time. Nothing glamorous in that, right?
I bought my condo unit as an investment at first. But then I got guilty seeing my parents waking up in the middle of the night to see who’s going in or out of the house. That’s me. I work for a call center and we maintain US hours. So it’s odd hours for my parents. Since the condo unit is near my place of work, I opted to move into it.
It was a tough decision, I tell you. I am used to the comforts of living with my parents. But I am learning a lot from living independently. Although, I should tell those who are envious of us living alone… there’s nothing glamorous in it!
