I am watch man!

I am a watch person. I collect watches actually. I remember my sister once said that she feels naked or a part of her body is missing when she goes out of the house without a watch. I actually laughed my head off that time, thinking how silly my sister was. But boy was she right! I also feel that way when I forget to wear a watch.

Healthcare jobs

I heard the dilemma of healthcare graduates of the past two years now. I know that there are hardly any jobs left in this country because so many people are taking up medical courses and graduating at the same time. I do hope that the healthcare jobs will double or triple in number to accommodate everyone who needs a job. I know some friends of friends who are still jobless until this day because they are finding it hard to get a job. Hopefully, this will be solved soon.

Romantic getaway

A friend of mine is thinking of going on a getaway with his girlfriend. It is actually a good idea considering they are both so busy with their work life that they hardly see each other these days. My friend is a newly licensed lawyer while his girlfriend is a medical intern. So you can just imagine how busy they both are. I suggested Outer Banks rentals. I bet he is looking into it right now. They haven’t celebrated their Valentine’s Day yet. And the getaway will be their belated celebration of sorts.

In need of a vacation

I badly need a vacation! The stress is killing me. Now that there is a crisis around the world, the pressure to do better at work doubled. I have to prove myself even more now than every before. I don’t want to get rid of my staff so I am working hard to train them, coach them if needed, guide them every step of the way until I know that they can really hold their own already. The thing sustaining me these days are memories of the Vegas vacations we had in the past year. I would love to go back and have some fun with the people I love but now is not the right time. Hopefully, sometime soon.

Bathroom safety

I remember my mom slipping on the bathroom floor a few years ago. We were so worried about her back because she bumped it on the commode. It was a time when we would lecture my mom about bathroom safety every time we see her. She recovered fast, but we were the ones who never forgot the pained look we saw when we found her lying on the floor. It took us longer to stop lecturing her about looking at the floor when she steps in the bathroom.

New employee

I have doubts with the new employee under my team. He is obviously a kid from a well-off family judging by the Panerai 1950 he wears to the office. And you can see that he is not that interested with learning so much. He will do what is being asked of him and nothing more. He is the type of person who will not go out of his way to go beyond what was asked of him. I will monitor his performance to make sure that he is not just in the office slumming.

An hour a day

I badly need a break. I’ve been working my ass off for seven days a week for the past few weeks now. There are just tons of things to do in the office. The stress is killing me. And then I feel guilty because my dad was asking for my help last weekend about molds in the parents’ house. I had to say no because I went to the office to do some briefing with a new employee. I haven’t been to visit them for almost a month now because of work. My girlfriend is checking out a couple of home theater furniture as a belated holiday gift for me. She figured I need at least an hour a day to unwind otherwise I would go crazy with everything’s that happening right now.
