To be quite honest about it, I seem to be the type of guy who has no luck when it comes to gambling. For some reason, I find it hard to win. I thought at first that maybe it was caused by lack of concentration on my part. But it turned out that it’s not the case. I concentrated so hard when we were in Las Vegas a couple of months ago and it’s still the same. The same losing streak. So I thought it would be better to just watch and cheer on my cousins who are way better in me when it comes to games.

We went to Las Vegas a couple of months ago and my cousins really made some serious money out of the day of fun that we had. That is the reason why we want to go back again and again in Vegas. It was a memorable place for us. Plus the fact that most of our relatives live there.

Well, since we can’t go back and forth to Las Vegas, my cousins settle for online casino games.

My mom would be hiring an Art Moving Company again. Remember I told you my dad wanted me to drop by to help him with something in the house? Well, I thought it was just about some computer equipment that he wants to check. So I dropped by last Sunday to check on the old folks as well as have lunch with the whole family (my sister and her kids included). And when I asked my dad what it was all about, he told me that they saw some termites in the den. My dad was just supposed to put up a mount for the a new art piece my mom bought. When he hammered the nail, the wall cracked a bit and my dad was shocked to find termites behind the wall. They just had the place renovated last year! I am definitely having a talk with the contractor.

Well anyway, my dad now wants the whole den checked for possible termite infestation. He wants me to work with him or if we found the whole wall to be infested, we will have to hire termite experts to eliminate it. Termites are really pests! And now my mom would need an art moving company to store her paintings if the den will be renovated again.

I always feel guilty when I can’t go to my parents’ place to help them with something. Like yesterday, my dad asked if I can drop by because he needs my help with the malfunctioning computer equipment. I was not able to drop by though because I clock out of the office around 2am already. I will try to drop by there today, will look for the door hardware my dad is also asking me to check out for him, and fix whatever’s ailing the computer equipment. I sure hope I get to finish my work earlier today.

I have been remiss in updating this blog of mine. There are tons of things to do in the office right now. I was recently promoted and it entailed a lot of additional tasks for me. I am also assigned to be a part of the audit committee. There’s just so many things to do at the office right now. Even this blog is in need of a change in themes. But before that, I have to read the orovo testimonials that my friend is telling me about.

It’s been quite a while since I last had a relaxing day. I work even on weekends for the past few months now. Work has become my life. My love ones are complaining that they hardly talk to me. I go to the office early in the morning. Go home before midnight. There are even days when I go home the next morning already just to take a shower to go back to the office again.

But I gave my promise to my family that I will be with me this coming holidays. And work need to take a backseat by then.

My little niece called me up last night asking for guess what? An xbox 360! I was surprised because I know she knows she’s not allowed to play that much games. I mean my sister has it in her mind not to expose her kids to too much violence prevalent on games these days. And I agree. My niece told me that her new playmate has one and that she would also like one for herself because it was a lot of fun playing games. I think I will need to talk to my sister first about it.

There will be two more Vegas vacations for our family before the year ends. My mom and dad are planning on getting a property there since most of our close relatives are there anyway. It’ll be a place for us to stay at when we go there for a visit. And I think my mom and dad are thinking of going on an extended vacation there, probably two to three months after they bought the property they are looking into. If I have the luxury of time, I would also vacation there that long as well. It’ll be fun!

I know my uncles and cousins have been in a casino at one point in their lives. I remember we all went to Reno, Nevada about three years ago. Our annual family reunion was held there, at a cousin’s place. It was so much fun because we were there a couple of days before Christmas. So we had a lot of time to do other stuff. All the male cousins and uncles went to Las Vegas to have some fun at the casinos. It was a memorable night especially for one of my uncles who won the slot machine.

So now I am thinking that since our annual family reunion has not yet taken place due to conflicting schedules of several family members, plus the fact that my sister recently gave birth to a healthy baby boy, I am thinking that it can be held at the ancestral house. And then I will set up some desktops and laptops and we can all play online casino! Sounds fun, right? We need not go to a casino.
