Infamous date!

I was surprised to find a hat on my bed when I got from work last Friday. It was from my cousin, Moira. She just came from Mexico and she brought me this native Mexican hat. I was laughing so hard when I called her up. She hadn’t even said hello yet she was laughing as hard as I was. It was actually a joke between us. I once thought I was in love with this Mexican-looking girl from university. When I finally got around to asking her out, it turned out she was a transgender. Moira was in the diner where we had that infamous date. So she was the only one who knew about it. To this day, she doesn’t pass up a chance to shove it down my face. Silly girl!

Super mom

When it comes to things at home, I must admit, I rely on my mom to check it for me. She visits me once a week, to check on my pantry (if it’s well stocked), my refrigerator, the whole house, my laundry and more. I have a house helper and my mom makes sure that she is doing her work. I am oblivious to such things, more concerned with coming home with a hot meal prepared for me. My mom was looking at kitchen sinks last weekend because she wants to change the one I have right now. She doesn’t like it plus it is getting rusty, according to her. I let her be. I just told her to send me the bills so I can pay for it.

Nothing beats having your mom take care of you, don’t you think?

Opulent surroundings

I once visited the government palace where the infamous Marcos family resided for a time. I remember the gold door knobs and shower faucets. You wouldn’t believe how ostentatious the surroundings are. I don’t know if they retained the home accessories there. One can sell it for a huge amount, that’s for sure. That does not include the clothes and shoes of the former first lady. When we saw it, we thought the room is a mini version of a department store!

Opulent surroundings of a family who once ruled the Philippines for 20 long years!

I want a new laptop!

I want a new laptop. The one I have right now is a locally made laptop that is two years old already. it is starting to act up now whenever I use it for a long period of time. And that is daily! I have been tasked to monitor my cousin’s etsy shop and I am the webmaster of that one so I really use my laptop a couple of hours at night to check the web site.

Unfortunately for me, the laptop has been reaching its expected life already. That’s my guess. So a new laptop is in order. But I am still short with my savings. I want to buy a quality laptop this time.

But wait! I heard about Charter Laptop A Day Giveaway. It says at Charter.com that they will be giving away 30 laptops in 30 days to 30 winners! When I checked what laptop they will be giving away, it is the same laptop that I have in mind. An HP Compaq Presario C770US! That really caught my interest.

All one has to do is to purchase any of the services being offered by Charter.com and upon purchase, you are automatically eligible to be one of the 30 winners of the laptop they are giving away! What a deal! And wait, for every purchase, you also get a Free $100 Shell gift card! It keeps getting better.

I just might get a High-Speed Internet service from them. Go and check out Charter.com now.

Busted air conditioning

My air conditioning in my bedroom is busted! It is way past its warranty period already so I really need to buy an air conditioning compressor. It is the culprit, according to the repair man I contacted. It will cost me a bit but if it means getting back the coolness in my bedroom, so be it.

Or maybe I will just buy a brand new one to avoid the hassle.

Online shopping

Surfing the net has become an interest for me lately. Ever since I found out that there are various things I can buy cheaper on the net, well, you wouldn’t know how great it can be. I was able to buy clothes, shoes, motorcycle parts, HDMI cable and many more on various online shops. I even have several that are in my bookmarks now. I never knew what the fascination of online shopping was to my cousins. Now I know.

New campaign formulated

Last week, our company had an emergency meeting. All the leaders of the various business units were called to attend. Do you know what the topic was? Low sales. Poor sales performance. We are still around 20% below our sales target for the year. The bosses are a bit worried we won’t meet our target for this year that they are making it a must now to meet weekly to monitor the progress of a campaign we formulated in the meeting. We will be giving away promotional products to business partners. We are doubling the efforts of the sales people to get new accounts. And so much more.

Stressful weeks ahead, I tell you.

Ready gift

I was laughing so hard the other day because one of my friends raided another friend’s closet and found a number of Guess watches in it. What was funny about it was the watches are for women. He has a ready Guess watch to give a girlfriend of his (and he has at least three) for special occasions. It was hilarious. The watches are all the same! Now we know why his girlfriends seem alike. It has to do with the watch! Ha! Ha! Ha!
