A nanny for my niece
My niece is already three months old and she is a cute kid and a naughty one at that. She loves to be pampered and would often get my sister’s and my mom’s attention whenever they are both doing something. My sister works at home and since giving birth to Anika, she has been swamped with work left and right. Her clients are all demanding her attention because she has been out of circulation for about four months. I suggested that she get someone to take care of Anika so that she can concentrate on her work.
A Nanny would be great. She does not need a full time nanny, just someone who can take care of my niece when she’s working in the morning. FindABabySitter.com.au has some nannies that you can hire for parttime or for a certain days and hours. This is what she needs. I will help get a nanny for baby Anika soon.
A gift from my sister
I love my sister! She has been more of a friend than a sister most of the time. She’s older than me by five years but it doesn’t matter, she’s like the same age as me and have always accommodated my requests, takes my side and have been there for me always. In short, she spoils me and I don’t care.
She’s asking me what gift I want for Christmas and I already know what I want. I want a new digital camera! But I am confused as to what brand and model to choose. There are so many digital cameras to choose from and I want all of them! Of course that would be taking advantage of my sister’s generosity so I need to choose one. I am comparing products at TestFreaks.com and I think I will choose Canon EOS 40D. What do you think?
My buddy needs help
I felt guilty about my rant in my last post, about the course I didn’t really want that my parents told me to take up. A buddy of mine is still in college, seven years now, because he has to stop every now and then due to lack of financial resources. He came from a brood of eight and his dad suffered a stroke a couple of years ago, affecting their livelihood. My buddy is the middle child and his older siblings are already married and have lives of their own to live.
My sister who is working at home and is a consultant found http://www.gibbseducation.com/. She said that Gibbs College offers financial assistance to those who badly need it. They can help students get student loans or federal grants to assist them in getting the education they need. This is what my buddy needs. I will tell him about this.
Fulfilling a dream
When I entered college, it was with a heavy heart. To be quite honest, I didn’t want my course. You see I took up Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. And I took it up because of this plan my parents had for me. My uncle has an insurance company and they want me to work there. Sucks, I tell you. But I had to acquiesce otherwise I will be shipped to some place called Timbuktu.
But my sister has a kind heart. She knew my dilemma. I told her that I really want to become a graphic artist and would rather learn the ropes in that area rather than the ones I am learning right now. She told me about http://www.collinscollege.edu/ which is an online school that offers Graphic Design as one of the courses in that college. She will give me the money I need to enroll and I will just have to talk to my parents about resigning from work and fulfilling a dream of my own.
Wish me luck!
