Last night I was talking to a blogger-friend about my earnings from the various programs I’m enrolled with. I told her that my goal is to make at least $30 a night. It didn’t occur to me actually that $30 a night would translate to a big sum of money at the end of the month. She needed to point it out to me. It was just something random. But now that I was able to compute and plan, I am ready to do my best to reach that goal.

Admittedly, I am maximizing this blog of mine for making money online. And this blog has given me a lot already. I feel ashamed that I am taking this blog for granted and focusing more on my other blogs. I actually concentrate now on Sasha-says.com, being my official blog and all. Also, I am doing some things to help increase its page rank the soonest possible time.

When I got that domain, I was thinking of giving up this site. I talked to Ate Ghee about it and changed my mind after our talk. I LOVE THIS BLOG OF MINE! Why would I give this up?? I started with just little knowledge of what real blogging is here at akoni. Might as well continue maintaining this site since Ate Ghee is not kicking me out anyway. Hehe

What really had me itching to get my own domain is the way the most relevant search engines are indexing sites. Google is okay since it recognizes your site be it hosted for free (wordpress, blogspot, myspace, etc.) or a subdomain (name.domain.com) like this site. Alexa, on the other hand, does not recognize subdomains for some reason. The rank is shared by the domain and its subhostees. Also, when your blog is hosted under the free platforms wordpress, blogspot, i.ph, etc. I’ve noticed this when I am checking the Alexa rank of Bookmarks which is hosted under blogspot. The site’s rank is 15! Wow! I couldn’t believe it so I checked the top 20 and Blogger.com is number 15! Hahaha

Technorati is where I am most anxious to get my site indexed. Unfortunately, something went wrong along the way and this site’s posts couldn’t get pinged. For a time I was not doing anything to remedy it. Thinking that maybe tomorrow, the pinging will work. Until when you look at Technorati it said that my last post was over a hundred days ago.

So a few days ago, I contacted Technorati support to help me with this issue. And this morning, I received an email from them (thanks Lev Plaves!) saying that everything’s fixed already. I immediately checked my Technorati Rank and Authority for this site and here’s what I saw…

Anyway, I apologize for the barrage of sponsored posts here. I will do something with this site of mine. Renovate again! And I promise to make this better.

For a time now I have been thinking of putting a subdomain under my sasha-says.com site for my inspirational posts. I’ve wanted to create one and use this book my sister gave me about Making a Difference in peoples’ lives.

I will start doing it tomorrow. I’ve set up a subdomain already. The url is something that you will be surprised to see and then will probably get disappointed if you’re looking for a different stuff. Hahaha…

I have been so busy doing every possible thing I can to earn income to buy me a laptop. I know you have noticed an ‘onslaught’ of sponsored posts in this blog of mine. Please bear with me, friends. I draw those posts out of personal experiences, if possible, so when you get to read it, it wouldn’t be just an advertisement but a personal post as well.

Some blogger friends commented that I have been taking on a lot of tasks lately. I am. But I make sure I can do it. The only hindrance I can see in accomplishing all those tasks is my dial-up connection. It’s a pain in the ass! Imagine the speed… 31.2 kbps!!! Who can surf with that kind of speed? That’s why you’ll notice I only bloghop in the mornings and early evenings. During breaktimes in the office and those times I am not doing anything. At home, I can surf but it takes time. I normally sleep around 2am. I’m an insomniac. So it’s a good thing because I can go online a bit longer. But still…

So I am now thinking of getting a dsl connection. I will get it from my online earnings. Yey! That way, I can go to all your blogs and read and comment and still do my other online stuff.

I started a few chapters of a new novel last week, when our internet connection in the office was erratic and I didn’t have anything else to do at work. Due to my sponsored posts, I set it aside for a few days. And you know what? I am rarin’ to write a couple of chapters tonight. That’s because of these songs…
